What We Collect
Website inquiries: name, email, and message you submit via our contact form or email.
Bookings: information you provide to schedule meetings (via Microsoft Bookings), such as name, email, and preferred time.
Analytics & performance: limited technical data via Google Site Kit / Analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device/browser). We don’t use this to identify you personally.
Client services: for engaged clients, we may process financial records and contact details to deliver bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services in Xero/Hubdoc/Payworks.
Why We Collect It (Purposes)
To respond to inquiries, schedule appointments, deliver services, maintain security, comply with laws, and improve our website and processes.
Sharing & Service Providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with trusted providers solely to operate our business: Microsoft 365/Bookings (scheduling and email), Google (Analytics/Site Kit), Xero and add-ons such as Hubdoc (accounting), Payworks (payroll), Wordfence (security), and UpdraftPlus (backups).
Data Location & Transfers
Our providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. We take steps to work with reputable vendors and protect your data.
Retention
Inquiry correspondence is typically retained for a limited period to manage follow-ups. Client records are retained as required by law and professional standards (often 6–7 years), unless a longer period is necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Security
We apply reasonable safeguards, including access controls, reputable cloud platforms, Wordfence website protection, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and scheduled backups (UpdraftPlus). We also maintain Errors & Omissions and cyber insurance.
